SMSTUDIO is a multi-disciplinary design practice based in Vancouver. We believe in the power of architecture and the objects we interact with to shape our experience of the world. Our aesthetic is rooted in minimalism, devoid of unnecessary elements but rich in the dynamic interplay of materials.
We are a boutique studio, but take on projects of all scales and typologies. We design cabins, single family houses and commercial spaces, furniture and products. Every project we take on is different, but our approach remains the same.
We work closely with clients to understand the challenge and conceptualize a solution. We then refine the details, distilling each design to its simplest form. Our intent is to create spaces and things that are beautiful yet humble. And, in small but meaningful ways, to make life better.
